Using Your Library

  1. Tap on the "Library" button on the top left of the window.

  2. Your Library will pop up. Tap on a title to open the book.



Your book will now display in the main window.


Downloading and Purchasing Products

  1. Tap on the "Library" button on the top left of the window.
  2. Tap on "Store" at the top right of the library menu.
  3. Tap on the "Purchased" tab to see books in your Olive Tree account.

To download free books

  • To see all products available for free download, tap on the "Browse" menu:
    1. Tap on "Free Books" from the list of categories to see free books available for download to your device.
    2. Available free books will display. To see product descriptions for any book, tap on the book.
    3. To download a free book, tap on “Download for free.” The product will download to your BibleReader and can be found in your Library.

    To purchase books

  • From the "Browse" menu, select a category to see products available for purchase:
    1. To see product descriptions for any book, tap on the title of the book.
    2. To purchase a book, tap on the “Buy for [price]” button.
    3. Confirm your account information to finish the purchase. The resource will display in your "Purchased Books" tab.



  • If you are not seeing all of your books in the “Purchased” tab:

    From the mobile device where you originally purchased the book

    1. Open your Library and then tap on the “Store” button.
    2. Tap on the Purchased Tab.
    3. Tap on “Back up and synchronize books with your Olive Tree account"
    4. Input your account information or make sure information is correct and tap on “Login”

    If you do not have an Olive Tree account

    1. Follow steps 1-3 from above.
    2. Tap on “Create Account”
    3. Enter your email address and a password and tap on “Create Account”

    After you have backed up your books you should see them under the “Purchased” tab on your Android phone. You may need to quit the app and reopen it for the changes to appear.

    If you have just created a new account, log in to your account by tapping on the Android settings button from the main BibleReader window and then tap on "Settings." Select "Account Settings" to log in to your account.

    After you log in on your Android phone, your books should now appear in the “Purchased" tab.

    *Free downloads are not registered and will not automatically appear in your Library. You will need to re-download free items to your phone from the “Free Books” category.




    Navigating Your Books and Bibles

    To change locations within a Bible:

    1. Tap on the "Go To" button on the top left of the window.
    2. The 3-step verse-chooser will pop up.



      1. First tap on the book of the Bible you would like to display.
      2. The chapters within that book will pop up. Tap on the desired chapter.
      3. The verses within that chapter will pop up. Tap on the desired verse.

    The chosen verse will now display in the main window.

     

    To change locations within a book:

    1. Tap on the "Go To" button on the top left of the window.

    2. Tap on a chapter title (eBook), letter (dictionary), or date (devotional).

    3. Tapping on items with an arrow at the end will display more sections within that heading.
    4. Tap on the section you would like to go to.

    The chosen location will now display in the main window.



    Searching

    1. Tap on the search icon  on the top right of the window to enter a "Verse Reference or Search Text."



    2. Type in your search request and hit "Go".
    3. Tap on a result to display it in the main window.


    Creating Notes & Highlights

    To add a highlight:

    1. Tap on the verse number where you would like to add a highlight.



    2. A toolbar will pop up, with several options. Select the "Highlight" option.
    3. You can now select the number of verses to highlight. Tap the right facing arrow to select multiple verses.
    4. Once you have selected the verse range to highlight, tap "Select [number] Verse(s)."




    5. The highlight editor will pop up which allows you to title the highlight, change the highlight color and edit tags for the highlight.
    6. Make the changes to the highlight you would like, and tap "Save" to finish adding your highlight.

    To add a note:

    1. Tap on the verse number where you would like to create a note.
    2. A toolbar will pop up, with several options. Select the "Note" option.




    3. The note editor will pop up which allows you to title the note, add text to the note and edit tags for the note.
    4. Tap on the "Edit" button to add text to your note. Tap "Done" when you are finished editing the note. Tap "Save" to finish adding your note.
    5. A note icon should appear in the Bible text next to the verse you selected to create a note.
