Introduction

BibleReader’s Library feature allows you to view your installed books and the books in your iTunes account, to check for updates to books you have purchased and to the BibleReader program, and to shop at Olive Tree’s Store.

The Library feature is powerful, flexible, and customizable. Among many other things, it allows you to select how you wish to view book titles, which titles you wish to view, and what order to view them in.

To use the Library feature, make sure you can see the BibleReader menu bar in your main window. If you do not see the menu bar across the top of your main window, tap once anywhere within the window.

When viewing the full library, you can display books titles as a list or as a grid. To switch between grid and list displays, scroll the library list down (touch and hold your finger on the list and pull it downwards) until you see the List and Grid icons displayed immediately above the first book title.

In the graphic below, the Grid icon is on the left and the List icon on the right. Notice the View: Favorites and View: Categories buttons. We will discuss these below.

Note: Grid and List views are sticky selections. Whichever one you last selected before exiting the Library is the one that will be used when you next view the Library.

In the Full Library mode, scroll to the bottom of the list.

Check for Updates

Tapping the Check for Updates button at the bottom of the Full Library screen checks for updates to books you have purchased from Olive Tree and for updates to BibleReader 5. Tap the Check for Updates button.

If Update Available, with an exclamation mark, appears to the right of a book title, an updated version of that book is available. If Enhanced Content Update Available, with a star, appears to the right of a book title, enhanced content (covered elsewhere in this User Guide) is available for that title. Download books for which updates are available in the manner described above.

Because Olive Tree continually works to enhance books, learn to take a minute to check for updates each time you use BibleReader.

Update Library

Note: Olive Tree continually makes improvements to BibleReader 5. Regularly checking for updates will help ensure that you always have the latest version of the program.
