HOW DO I ADD A BOOKMARK?
There are two methods for adding a bookmark.

You can scroll to the verse number link to be bookmarked (if in a bible with verse number links), tap or click on your Blackberry menu button, select Add (+) and then Add Bookmark.

You can also while in the text (not on a verse number link), open your menu and select Bkmk.

HOW DO I DELETE A BOOKMARK?
Open the BibleReader menu
Select Bkmk
Highlight the entry to be deleted
Select your Blackberry menu button
Select Delete

WHY WON’T BIBLEREADER OPEN TO WHERE I LEFT OFF?
To ensure that BibleReader re-opens where you left off and that setting changes are saved, it is best to exit the application by selecting Exit from the BibleReader menu to avoid any memory related issues.

WHY CAN’T I FIND THE BIBLEREADER ICON AFTER INSTALLATION?
Certain BlackBerry devices, such as the Bold and the Storm, automatically place newly downloaded software into the Downloads folder on the device. If you are having trouble locating the Olive Tree application icon to start BibleReader, be sure to check the Downloads folder. If you don’t find it there, click the menu button and select Show All.

WHY WON’T MY BIBLEREADER NOT DOWNLOAD TITLES OVER-THE-AIR?
If you encounter problems downloading your bible files over-the-air (e.g. freezes at 0%), it could be due to connectivity issues either with your data network, WIFI resource, or perhaps due to store server issue. You can contact Olive Tree support for additional troubleshooting tips, or you can install them manually as documented below.

HOW CAN I INSTALL BIBLE TITLES MANUALLY SO I DON’T HAVE TO USE MY DATA PLAN?

  1. Create a folder on the desktop of your computer called Olive Tree.
  2. Log into your account from a Desktop or Laptop computer connected to your device.
  3. From the Personal Library of your Olive Tree account, download the product zip file to your computer desktop.
  4. Unzip the file into the Olive Tree folder using WinZip or similar application.
  5. Connect your BlackBerry to your desktop computer using the USB cable.
  6. Transfer the .pdb file as follows:

Without using Desktop Manager:

  • Be sure you can access the memory card in Windows Explorer.
  • Use Explorer to copy the .pdb file(s) in the Olive Tree folder to your BlackBerry drive that now shows up on your computer’s file manager (i.e. to E:\ if represented as your Blackberry). Copy to the directory \olivetree that was created by the BibleReader.
  • Eject the BlackBerry drive using the USB device eject icon in your systray on the task bar.

Using Desktop Manager:

  • Start BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  • Click on Media Manager.
  • On the right side of the screen, browse to the olivetree directory created by the BibleReader.
  • On the left side of the screen, browse to the .pdb files you downloaded. Select the files to transfer and click the arrow pointing right.
  • Disconnect your BlackBerry from the USB cable.

Please note that the Library list doesn’t always automatically refresh after a bible file has been manually copied over so you may need to try the following afterwards to see these titles in your Library/Bookshelf:

Open your BibleReader Select Library from the menu Press your BB menu button again and select Rescan from the toolbar. See if you now see your manually copied bible files.

I INSTALLED BIBLE FILES MANUALLY BUT THEY DO NOT APPEAR IN MY LIBRARY/BOOKSHELF?

Please note that the Library list doesn’t always automatically refresh after a bible file has been manually copied over so you may need to try the following afterwards to see these titles in your Library/Bookshelf: Open your BibleReader Select Library from the menu Press your BB menu button again and select Rescan from the toolbar. HOW DO I INSTALL MY GREEK & HEBREW FONTS IF THEY ARE NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY?

There are 3 ways to get Greek and Hebrew fonts for BibleReader on your BlackBerry device.

  1. Included with Greek & Hebrew resources. Our top-selling Greek and Hebrew resources come with Greek and Hebrew fonts included. When you download the Bible to your BlackBerry, the necessary fonts will be downloaded and installed automatically. If you downloaded a product prior to the official release of Greek and Hebrew support, you may need to re-download that product.
  2. Download over the air. If you get a message that additional fonts are needed for a resource containing Greek and Hebrew, you can download the font pack for free, over the air. From inside the BibleReader program, select Library and then Browse Online Bookstore. In the Online Bookstore, browse the free books and find BlackBerry Fonts - Greek and Hebrew. Click on the Download for Free link and OK when asked to download and install the files. Close and reopen any Greek or Hebrew book you were reading.

Manual installation. If you prefer to install files manually, visit OliveTree.com on your desktop browser and find the BlackBerry Fonts—Greek and Hebrew font pack. Download the files to your computer. When you move the files to your BlackBerry device, put them in the /olivetree directory on your media card—the same place your Bible and book files (.pdb files) go.
