  1. Create a new folder named 'Bible' on the Desktop of your desktop computer.
  2. On our iPod webpage, click on the Download link for the Bible or eBook you wish to install on your iPod. Save the file in the Bible folder you just created.
  3. When completed, open the Bible folder and you should see the appropriate .zip file inside. Double click on the .zip file to open it. Select the entire contents of .zip file and Extract these files into the Bible folder also. This will automatically create an appropriately named folder inside the Bible folder.
  4. Right click on the new folder for your Bible or eBook and select Properties to find the total number of files inside the folder, remember this number.

Please note, iPods currently support a maximum of 1000 notes files that are 4 kb each. Because of this limitation, the entire Bible will not fit on your iPod at one time. An entire eBook, however, will fit easily. If the files you install do not display on your iPod, check to make sure you have not exceeded the 1000 file limit.
  5. If you are installing a Bible, open the folder for the version you want to install on your iPod. Inside you will see lots of other folders. Start deleting folders for sections of the Bible that you do not need at this time. You'll have to recheck 'Properties' on the size of the folder until it gets down to 1000 files or less.

Hint: The entire New Testament will fit. Another book combination that will easily fit is Psalms and Proverbs. You will have to experiment to see how much of the Old Testament you can install at one time, depending on which books you include.

Please note that when you delete a book and interrupt the sequence, the Next/Previous links from the surrounding books will be disabled. This just means that navigating between two books out of sequence will not be absolutely seamless.

If you are installing an eBook, check to make sure you have enough space left in the Notes folder on your iPod to install the eBook without exceeding the 1000 file limit.
  6. Now, connect your iPod to your desktop computer. Open 'My Computer' or 'Macintosh HD' from the desktop. Your iPod should appear in this window. Now, double click on the iPod icon. Then, double click on the 'Notes' folder.

Next, drag the folder for the eBook or Bible version you just edited into this Notes folder.

**If you have problems copying files onto your iPod, open iTunes with your iPod connected to the computer. In iTunes, click on your iPod. Then, under 'Options' select 'Enable disk use'.
  7. When this process is completed go back to 'My Computer' and right click on your iPod icon and select 'Eject'.
  8. To access the files on your iPod, go to 'Extras' from the main menu and select 'Notes.'

  9. Note: If you wish to revise the Bible books on your iPod, you must first delete the current Bible by right clicking on its folder on your iPod and clicking 'Delete'. You can then follow the installation instructions again (after the download point).
