Connect people with Bible Study using Software.
The Bible is a book that needs very little introduction. It is the most sought after and influential book ever written. Its message has transformed lives, changed empires, and shaken the world. Those who read the Bible regularly know how reading this book helps them to cultivate a life of intimacy with the book's Author.
In today's world of constant connectivity and application- based lives though, our dependence on mobile devices competes with the precious quiet moments connecting with our Creator. Olive Tree meets you on-the-go with Bible study.
For decades many of us have carried a New Testament in our pockets in small-print versions. Now we can not only just carry the Bible, but an entire library in-tow on our phone or tablet. Even more...we can query our library in seconds for relevant material to the passage we're studying!
Gone too are the days when you needed over 10 square feet of space just to lay out your dictionary, concordance, commentary, notes, and Bible. The days are dimming as well with being chained to your desk and hunched over a monitor. With battery life on tablets pushing over 10 hours your study can be where you want to be.
Whether your interest in the Bible is just reading your favorite translation or you are a seminary student studying Greek and Hebrew, Olive Tree has something for all interest levels. The Resource Guide's technology to find relevant material to your Bible passage at hand bring's the wisdom of your library to your fingertips. It takes the effort out of study.
Olive Tree is committed to supporting the most popular platforms to stay current in this ever-changing world of updates and the "next best thing." This means your library, as long as Olive Tree supports the device, can be transferred to your next phone, tablet, or both at the same time! You never need to purchase the same resource twice!
With roots over 12 years deep in mobile technology, Olive Tree's BibleReader is not just a "Bible reader" as much as it is a powerful Bible study tool that rivals it's desktop Bible software counterparts. Even with the advanced features we keep the most basic reading functionality and search readily apparent for a beautiful reading experience.
There are three main areas I'd like to share about BibleReader's features that will greatly enhance your Bible study: The Bible, Notes, Resource Guide, and Sync.
With a simple 3 tap verse-chooser (book, chapter, verse), navigating to your desired Bible verse can't get any easier...or faster! Once reading, you can highlight and bookmark your favorite passages, compare translations by opening your split screen mode, even tap on your cross-references to see them in a popup window.
Our notes feature is a great tool to take sermon or devotional notes without ever losing your spot in the text. Simply open notes in split window and type away! Once finished you can label it, tag it, or drop it in a category for easy retrieval later. One of the nicest features of "Notes" is that a scripture reference becomes a hyperlink after saving the note. You no longer have to copy and paste a verse...just the reference and the verse is a touch away. Also, with Olive Tree sync all your notes can be backed up and edited with our online interface at sync.olivetree.com. We'll talk about that in a moment.
The Resource Guide is definitely a technological advance. It is a tool that brings all of your library resources together, relevant to the passage at hand. Used in split screen, it pulls anything out of your library related to the Bible passage in the main window. It pulls out cross references, commentaries, Bible translations, people, places, topics, maps, outlines and introductions, charts and images. In other words, the more resources contained in your library, the smarter your Resource Guide becomes.
Now, everything that you do in your BibleReader (your notes, bookmarks, highlights, and book ribbons) all of it can be backed up with your Olive Tree account. You can go online and edit or create new material. Not only that, if you write a note, highlight, or bookmark a passage on your phone it can be synced to your account and then downloaded on another device. No matter where you write the note the content is always safe.
