The BibleReader allows you to add and sort bookmarks for Bible verses or locations in other texts that you would like to return to in the future. Bookmarks are shortcuts to particular locations in a file, and save time in navigating the text.
You can organize bookmarks into categories, sort the order they appear in, add and delete bookmarks, and export search lists to a bookmark file. One bookmark file can hold up to 400 reference links. You can have as many bookmark files as you have space for on your device. The size of a bookmark file will vary depending on how many reference links it holds.
Note: Bookmark files are saved with the prefix bkm_. The default bookmark list is named bkm_BibleReader
There are three ways to access the bookmarks:

Instructions below use the bookmark icon as the access method, but the menu method will work as well.
To switch bookmark files:
| 1. | Tap the Bookmark icon. |
| 2. | Tap File to bring up the Edit Bookmarks screen. The currently opened bookmark file is denoted in the box at the top of the screen. |
| 3. | Tap Open to bring up a list of all of your bookmark files. |
| 4. | Tap the name of a bookmark file (for example, bkm_Biblereader is the default set of bookmarks) to select it. Tap OK to use that file of Bookmarks. |
| 5. | Tap Done in the lower right corner to return to the text window. |
To create a new bookmark file:
| 1. | Tap the Bookmark icon. |
| 2. | Tap File to bring up the Edit Bookmarks screen. |
| 3. | Tap New to bring up the Save As screen. |
| 4. | Give the file a name, and tap OK. It will be stored in the folder listed under "Specified Path" in File > Open > Advanced. |
| 5. | When all four entries are complete tap OK. This will become the current bookmark list. |
To add bookmarks to a different bookmark file:
| 1. | Tap the Bookmark icon. Tap Edit to bring up the Edit Bookmarks screen. |
| 2. | Tap File list to bring up a list of all of your bookmark files. |
| 3. | Tap a bookmark list and tap Select. This now becomes the active list that bookmarks will be saved to. |
| 4. | Tap Done. Now new bookmarks will be added to the selected list. |
Bookmark Management
| 1. | Tap the Bookmark icon. |
| 2. | Select a verse in the list and tap Up or Dn to change its position in the list. |
| 3. | Tap Go to return to the text window. |
To export a list of search results to a bookmark file:
| 1. | Perform a search for words in the Bible. |
| 2. | Tap the Search List button. |
| 3. | Tap the Export button. BibleReader will prompt you for a file name. The file name should be a single word. |
| 4. | Tap Export and confirm the file creation. Tap Done. |
| 5. | Tap Cancel to return to the navigation screen or tap a Bible verse to jump to it. |
To add a bookmark while navigating through the text:
| 1. | The verse you want to bookmark must be at the top of the text screen. |
| 2. | Tap the Bookmark icon or tap View > Bookmarks and select Add. |
To delete a bookmark while navigating through the text:
| 1. | Tap the Bookmark icon and select the bookmark you wish to delete. |
| 2. | Tap the Del button, and the reference will be deleted from the list. |
