Highlighting

Top  Previous  Next

The BibleReader offers eight different colors that you can use to highlight the Bible text you are reading, as well as the Bold and Underline features. There are two ways modify highlighting colors and highlight portions of text - the toolbar and the menu.

The highlight information is stored on a per Bible basis as a Bible-xxx-High file in main memory on your device. Deleting this file from memory will cause the highlights for that particular Bible to disappear all at once.

The Toolbar

The bottom toolbar includes several highlighting colors and highlight erase, acting as your customizable highlighter pallet. You can add/remove highlight colors and other options on the toolbar by going to Tools > Toolbar Options.

To highlight or erase a highlight on a portion of text, simply select the text to be highlighted/erased and tap on the corresponding highlight color or highlight erase icon on the toolbar.

The Menu

Set the highlighting color or feature:
Go to Tools > Highlight Config. Select the color or feature you want to use (we recommend a good contrast to the text and background colors), and then tap OK.

Highlight a portion of the text:
First select the text with your stylus. Then go to Tools > Highlight Selection. This will highlight the text that you had selected with the color or feature you specified under the highlighting options.

Erase a highlight from the text:
Choose the text you wish to remove the highlighting from, then go to Tools > Highlight Config and select Erase instead of a color. Tap the Highlight button again. Remember to reset your Highlight color or feature again before you try to highlight more text, as it will still be in the Erase setting.
