This is a brief description of the menu system in the BibleReader, to familiarize you with what the different options do. To access the menus, simply select "Menu" from the bottom toolbar in the BibleReader.

 

SP_MainMenu

Main Menu

Library - Displays a list of the Bibles and other database files installed on your device. Select a resource from the Library list to load it into the main screen of the BibleReader.

Verse Chooser / Document Chooser - Opens the Verse Chooser (or Document Chooser, depending on the open resource) where you can navigate to a specific verse reference or location in the text.

Tools - Set bookmarks, create a personal notes, and search the open document.

Navigation - Navigate the open text.

Display - Change display options for the main BibleReader screen.

Options - Access the BibleReader customization options.

Help - Find quick help and information about the BibleReader.

Exit - Use this menu item to exit the BibleReader.

 

 

SP_ToolsMenu

Tools Sub-menu

Bookmarks - Opens the Bookmarks window.

Notes - Opens the personal Notes window.

Search - Opens the Search window where you can input search terms to find in the open text.

Search Next - Finds the next instance of the current search.

 

 

SP_NavigationMenu

Navigation Sub-menu

Verse Chooser / Document Chooser - Opens the Verse Chooser (or Document Chooser, depending on the open resource) where you can navigate to a specific verse reference or location in the text.

Back - Toggle back through the 10 most recent locations you have visited during this session of BibleReader.

Forward - Toggle forward through the 10 most recent locations you have visited during this session of BibleReader.

 

 

SP_DisplayMenu

Display Sub-Menu

Toggle Windows - Toggles the number of open windows between 1 and 2.

Select Window 1 - Makes Window 1 the active window. A window must be active before you can load a text in it or customize its options.

Select Window 2 - Makes Window 2 the active window. A window must be active before you can load a text in it or customize its options.

Toggle Maximize Text Window - Will enlarge the active window to be full screen. When selected again, it returns that window to it's original size. This feature is especially useful when you are using the Split Screen mode and wish to enlarge one of the windows for a time, then return to split screen.

Toggle Strongs - Turns Strong's Numbers on or off. (For Bibles with Strong's Numbers only.)

 

 

SP_OptionsMenu

Options Sub-Menu

Color / Font Preferences - Opens the screen where you can customize the colors and fonts.

Greek / Hebrew Preferences - Opens the screen where you can customize the Greek and Hebrew fonts.

Scrolling Preferences - Opens the screen where you can customize the scrolling preferences.

Shortcut Preferences - Configure the shortcuts for the BibleReader.

Split Window Preferences - Specify the number of windows you want open, window display options, and  target windows for hyperlinks.

Verse Format - Opens the screen where you can customize the format of the verse display. Also turn on/off the publisher notes icon.

Help Sub-menu

Help - A brief overview of how to use the basic BibleReader features.

About BibleReader - Displays information about the version of BibleReader, copyright information for the active text, and contact information for Olive Tree Bible Software.
