The search command in the BibleReader acts like an exhaustive concordance. You can search the entire Bible, or a portion of the Bible, for a specific word, phrase, or partial word. To open the search screen, go to Menu > Tools > Search.
Wild Card Search To use the wild card when searching, enter the word suffix you want to search for. Then, enter the "wild character," a * (star) or a - (dash).
Here are a few examples:
Search Range To specify the range of books that you want to search in (Entire Bible, Old Testament, New Testament), use the down arrow on the 5-way navigator to get to the options, then use the left/right arrow to toggle through the choices.
Start a Search Once you have entered your search term and selected the search range, select the Search button to start the search. Scroll through the list of results, and select Go To to go to the place in the text for the result you want to view. Once in the text, you can jump to the next search result by going to Menu > Tools > Search Next. |
