Detailed Instructions for Using BibleReader on Palm Pre

Downloading BibleReader files for Palm Pre.

1. Download Classic Certified BibleReader for Palm Pre. Right-click or option-click this link to download:
   • BibleReader_arm_ClassicCertified.prc
   Select Save As and save the file to a location you can find easily (such as your computer's desktop). You'll add it to your Palm Pre in Step 3.
2. There are two ways to download Bible and book files.
   
   

   Download free items from the product page in the Olive Tree store to your desktop.

   • See all Free Items for Palm Pre.

   Log in to your Olive Tree Account to download titles you have already purchased. Go to the My Account login page and enter your Olive Tree username and password. Select "My Personal Library" to view your previously purchased titles. You should see Download links to the right of each title.

   • Log in to My Account now, or create an Olive Tree account (for new users).
   
   
3. When downloading files, select your device as Palm OS 5.x (see screenshot).
   
   

   After clicking the "Download" link on the product page or in your Personal Library, make sure it says "You have selected Palm OS 5.x as your handheld device."

   If needed, change your device by clicking "No, I need to change it" and selecting Palm OS 5.x from the Choose Your Mobile Device page (see screenshot).

4. Download and extract (unzip) your Olive Tree files.

   1. Click on the .zip link (not the .exe) and select to save the file; we recommend that you save it to the desktop of your computer.
   2. Create a new folder on the desktop and name it Olive Tree.
   3. Right click on the .zip file on the Desktop and choose to extract, choosing the new Olive Tree folder on the desktop as the destination.

Installing the Classic Application from MobileApp on your Palm Pre.

1. Select the Launcher icon from the bottom tab bar on your Pre's homescreen. Look for the App Catalog icon and select it.
2. Within the App Catalog, type "classic" in the search field and press enter. Classic (Motion Apps) will be within the results—look for the tuxedo icon and touch it to select. Purchase, download, and launch the Classic App.

Adding BibleReader files to your Palm Pre.

1. Connect your Pre to your computer and select USB connection. On your computer, choose your explorer/file manager program to open the directory and see the files (see screenshot below).







2. Find the .PRC and .PDB files you have downloaded.  BibleReader_arm_ClassicCertified.prc should be on your desktop (from Step 1). .PDB files should be in the Olive Tree folder where you extracted your downloaded files (from Steps 2-4).
3. Copy the .PRC and .PDB files and paste them into the ClassicApps/Install directory on your Pre (see screenshot). In this case, the ESV Study Bible was installed.
4. The .PRC file is the BibleReader application. You only need to install it once. .PDB files are Bibles, commentaries, books, and notes. Be sure to move all .PDB files from your Olive Tree directory to the ClassicApps/Install directory. Some Olive Tree titles include several .PBD files.
5. Unplug your Palm Pre from your computer.
   
   Note: The next time you start Classic App on your Pre, it may pause while it loads these new files.

You are now ready to run BibleReader on your Palm Pre!

Find the Classic App (tuxedo icon) on your Pre screen and touch it. Select BibleReader from the Classic homescreen.
