This powerful and detailed resource guides you into a deeper understanding and appreciation of the importance of the field of theology. The Moody Handbook of Theology (1989 edition) introduces you to the five crucial facets of theology: biblical, systematic, historical, dogmatic and contemporary. When Paul instructed Timothy of the profitableness of Scripture for teaching (2 Tim. 3:16), he was emphasizing the importance of theological study. Author Paul Enns goes beyond the basic definitions of theology and generalized descriptions to summarize the key features of each of the five theological facets. This resource functions both as a refresher for scholars and an excellent introduction for new students of theology.
