Using the NLT Study Bible is like being led through Scripture by a caring Bible teacher.
The NLT Study Bible combines the scholarly notes and resources of a cross-denominational team of biblical experts with the NLT(se) Bible text, acclaimed for its readability and clarity. Each note and supplemental resource is created to help readers hear God’s message with clarity, accuracy, and life-changing power.
Some study Bibles focus on explaining the meaning of difficult Bible text, but because the NLT text is already so easy to understand, the NLT Study Bible can focus on larger issues such as the historical and cultural background that adds to understanding the text, and theological implications of the passage.
The NLT Study Bible on your mobile device includes the text, features, notes, images, and supplemental materials of the print version*, plus the easy interface of BibleReader and the convenience and portability of handheld use. For the first time, the NLT Bible text includes unique icon hyperlinks on iPhone and BlackBerry—just touch the icon to navigate directly to the notes on any verse or section.** Olive Tree's electronic version lets you read and study with the resources of the NLT Study Bible wherever you go!

The NLT Study Bible is based on the New Living Translation, second edition (NLTse) Bible text. First published in 1996, the New Living Translation utilizes the most recent scholarship in translation to create a text that has the same impact in the lives of modern readers that the ancient text did for the original readers. This is accomplished by translating entire thoughts (rather than individual words) into natural, everyday English. In addition, the translators have sought to translate terms shrouded in history and culture in ways that can be immediately understood by the contemporary reader. The NLT text was revised in 2004, and the result is a translation that is clear to read and understand and that accurately communicates the meaning of the original biblical text.
