Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (MED) is a word study dictionary covering the entire Bible. It is intended to be an accurate, modern replacement for the classic Vine's Expository Dictionary. This work contains more up-to-date definitions of words, and uses the Goodrick and Kohlenberger (GK) numbering system, which is more complete than the traditional Strong's numbering system for Greek and Hebrew words. MED is really three dictionaries in one, since it contains separate dictionaries for English to Greek and Hebrew, Hebrew to English, and Greek to English. It is written with pastors and bible study leaders in mind, and is to the point but still includes useful illustrations. For those who wish to delve deeper, many articles also contain references to works such as the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology or the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology
This electronic edition transforms the nearly 48,000 biblical references into hyperlinks, allowing users to look up passages by simply tapping them. It also includes 14,000 hyper-linked cross-references between the different articles, making it incredibly easy to jump back and forth between the three dictionaries which make up this resource. Articles can be accessed through the normal table of contents, and users of Bible Reader 5 can also use the "look up" feature in the Resource Guide to find articles by keywords in English, Greek, or Hebrew, or by Strong's number.
