We are now featuring video<\/strong> content in the Olive Tree Bible App<\/a>! The recent release of this new feature puts more Bible content in your hands inspiring you to read and study the Bible like never before. Just as the addition of our Audio feature transformed how you listen to God\u2019s Word, we believe the addition of video content will have the same effect as you see, hear, and learn more about the truth of God\u2019s Word. Read on to see how we\u2019ve incorporated video capability in our app and to learn about the first content we\u2019ve made available (for free!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Capability<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As with any other feature we\u2019ve added to our app, we wanted to add video as a tool to aid your study of Scripture. Our goal is to always keep Scripture front and center in our app. Afterall, we are first and foremost a Bible App. So, the question that drove us was, \u201cHow do we add video without distracting from studying the Bible but as a resource that can help with studying the Bible?\u201d The answer was to treat video <\/strong>capability similar to how we treat any other study resource. Let us show you what we mean.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Capability in the Resource Guide<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The first approach we took was to integrate video capability as a new category in the Resource Guide. The Resource Guide features sections or categories for content from resources in your Library related to the Bible passage open in the Main Window. Some of these categories include related verses, commentaries, Bibles, people, places, topics, maps,<\/em> etc. With the addition of this new feature, the Resource Guide will now list videos as a category. So, any time there\u2019s a video in your Library related to the passage open in the Main Window, you\u2019ll see it available in the Resource Guide! These categories are all customizable, so you can disable or enable them to suit your preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply tap on the video you want to watch, and it will play in the Resource Guide. For those using this new feature on a mobile device, you can watch in a pop-up or full screen mode for a better viewing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Capability in the Main Window<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The second approach to adding this capability was to make it accessible in the Main Window. From the Main Window, select the video resource in your Library to view the table of contents. Simply tap on the title you\u2019d like to watch, and it will start playing in the Main Window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first video content available in the Olive Tree Bible App<\/a> is created by BibleProject<\/a>. BibleProject<\/a> has graciously and generously given us permission to use their videos in our app at no cost to our users. That\u2019s right! All their videos will be made available in our app for free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
