Dr. David M. Howard Jr. is retired professor of Old Testament, Hebrew, and hermeneutics at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. He previously served as president of the Evangelical Theological Society and on Bible translation committees for the Holman Christian Standard Bible and the New Living Translation.
