Title: Christian Standard Commentary Series: Galatians (CSC)
Publisher: Broadman & Holman
Author: Timothy George

Description

Galatians stands out as perhaps the earliest and most passionate of Paul's letters. Throughout this commentary author Timothy George has asked the question, "What was at stake theologically for Paul in his letter to the Galatians?" Crossing between the domains of theologians and Bible scholars, George provides a balanced look at Galatians with the acknowledgement that neither scholarship nor theology can operate one without the other.

The Christian Standard Commentary (CSC) series focuses on the theological and exegetical concerns of each biblical book, while paying careful attention to balancing rigorous scholarship with practical application.

This series helps the reader understand each biblical book's theology, its place in the broader narrative of Scripture, and its importance for the church today. Drawing on the wisdom and skills of dozens of evangelical authors, the CSC is a tool for enhancing and supporting the life of the church.

This volume is available individually or as part of the Christian Standard Commentary Series (4 Vols.).

Timothy George has served as dean of Beeson Divinity School since its inception in 1988. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, George teaches Church History and Doctrine. He serves as senior theological advisor for Christianity Today and is on the editorial advisory boards of First Things, Harvard Theological Review, and Books & Culture. A prolific author, he has written more than twenty books and regularly contributes to scholarly journals.
