Description
The Amplified Bible Study Bible combines the textual understanding of the Amplified Bible, 2015 Edition with illuminating features for enhanced study. The Amplified’s unique system provides real-time understanding of the text of Scripture. This is accomplished by use of:
- Parentheses ( ) containing clarifying, synonymous words or phrases included in the original text
- Brackets [ ] containing clarifying words or comments not included in the original text
- Italics to denote familiar words or passages which lack adequate support as included in the original text
- Linked verses as a reference system for expanded meaning of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts
As a result, words and phrases are received in English more closely aligned to the original hearers of God’s Word. The 2015 translation updates provide more amplification of Old Testament texts as well as refinements to the New Testament for soother reading and increased understanding.
