Publisher: Westminster John Knox Press and SCM Press
The New Testament Library and Old Testament Library series offer fresh and authoritative commentary on various aspects of the New and Old Testament through contributors that are scholars of international standing. Both series bring together highly respected authors, offering volumes focused on individual books along with more general inquiries into theology and ethics. Both classic and contemporary volumes add breadth and depth with exegetical insight that appeals to both the pastor and the layperson.

In the New Testament Library, new translations based on the best available ancient manuscripts are included, along with critical portrayals of the historical world in which the books were created, careful attention to their literary design, and a theologically perceptive exposition of the biblical text.

The editorial board consists of C. Clifton Black, Princeton Theological Seminary; M. Eugene Boring, Brite Divinity School; and John T. Carroll, Union Presbyterian Seminary.

The Old Testament Library series provides authoritative treatments of important aspects of Old Testament study through commentaries and general surveys. The editorial board consists of William P. Brown, William Marcellus McPheeters Professor of Old Testament, Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia; Carol A. Newsom, Charles Howard Candler Professor of Old Testament, Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia; and Brent A. Strawn, Professor of Old Testament, Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
